WOOHOO!! I just got back from the dance!
Sorry that I haven't updated in like forever, but I've been busy...and grounded. Tonight was a school dance, and I went with Kelsey, my girlfriend. She's the best. Last night we chatted and now we know alot more about each other. *blushes* Maybe too much.... Anyway, I finally actually danced at a school dance. Me and Kelsey slowdanced. That was the closest I've ever been to a girl. I hope I didn't put my hands to low, though... (Oh, and Kelsey, that "problem" did happen...but I think you were close enough wher nobody saw. Plus I was too embarassed to say something)...We actually slowdanced to a few songs. I really liked it. I haven't felt this happy in quite a while. The only thing that would've mad the dance better is if we had kissed. But we were both too nervous(I think) and there were too many teachers and not a big enough crowd to hide in. Plus, I'd rather have us be more alone for our first kiss (or atleast w/ just some friends) in case "something" happens. I really want to spend some time alone with Kelsey...

I got this as an e-mail, and I think it's really cool.
To The Keepers!
It was a way of life, and sometimes it made me crazy. All that re-fixing, reheating, renewing. I wanted just once to be wasteful. Waste means affluence. Throwing away things meant you knew there'd always be more.
But then my husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of our bedroom, I was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more. No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute". Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away never to return before we can say good-bye or "I love you".
So, while we have it, it's best we love it...and care for it...and fix it when it's broken...and heal it when it's sick. This is true...for marriage...and old cars...and children with bad report cards...and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it; because we are worth it.
Some things we keep - like a best friend that moved away or a classmate we grew up with. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what. Life is important, like people we know who are special...and so, we keep them close!
I received this from someone who thought I was a 'keeper'! Then I sent it to the people I think of in the same way. Now it's your turn to send this to all those people that are "keepers" in your life...
Thank you for being special. You're a Keeper.

I sit alone in my room,
The lights off,
Blinds shut.
Sad and lonely,
I feel so alone.
Suicide comes to mind,
But I quickly realize why I won't,
Why I can't die,
All because of a few little facts.
Suicide accomplishes nothing,
Except for greif to the ones you love.
And when you commit suicide,
A close friend or family member usually does the same.
But the biggest reason I won't do it,
The most important reason,
Is Ashleigh.
I never want to hurt her,
Never want to make her sad.
And if I die,
I'll never meet her.
I get up and open the blinds.
My life will go on,
Things will get better,
And I'll someday meet my love.

Todays my b-day!! As of 5:18am I'm an official teenager!! Last night I got my presents...I NOW HAVE AN ELECTRIC GUITAR!!! It sounds awesome!! Hmm...wonder what I'll get at my family b-day party...oh well...Did I mention I'm 13 now?
